Which bathtub suits me?

In many spa - like bathroom retreats whirlpool baths are the perfect choice. If you really enjoy taking a bath then the whirlpool bath design can provide you with a heavenly soak. A variety of styles and shapes are available on the market. You can specify how many jets you require etc. Whirlpool baths can help with stress and anxiety as they will help to relax your muscles. When searching for an untraditional bath a corner bath can add character to a modern bathroom. The unusual shape can add extra storage space that may be required in a smaller bathroom, depending on your personal bathroom layout. The corner baths are usually quite wider in width than a standard bathtub making it ideal for two bathers. When aiming for a contemporary chic bathroom a round bathtub can add the real wow factor into your design. The round tub design will only work within a larger bathroom area. The depth of the round tub is deep providing you with an optimum soak. A roll top slipper bath is a popular choice as it works well with any bathroom design. It fits in nicely within a traditional and modern design, but it doesn’t encroach on a large amount of space.

Bathtub materials

Materials can vary in bathtubs with each having its own disadvantages and advantages. Enamelled cast iron bathtubs will retain the heat longer and also provide you with a substantial material. The cost of an enamel bath isn’t too expensive and they are widely available on the market. The material is very heavy resulting in awkward carrying and installation. Enamelled steel is very similar to the cast iron in terms of appearance but the enamelled steel is a lot lighter to handle. The enamel can be chipped easily if handled incorrectly and it may be quite noisy when the running water hits it. Acrylic is a popular material therefore giving you plenty of options. Acrylic is quite lightweight and is a retainer of heat if insulated correctly. Acrylic can stain quite easy especially when products such as hair dye are used, so you may have to be more vigilant than normal. Fibreglass is another popular material which is affordable although it may not be as durable as other materials. Cast polymer looks very much like stone giving your bathroom a natural appearance. It may not be as durable unlike other materials but it will give your bathtub a unique edge.

There are so many options for your bathroom it would be impossible to name them all. If you are unsure about the right bathtub for you then seek professional advice and guidance.
